Description

What is the professional benefit of play? When is it better to impose an objective, and when should we learn through experimentation and happy accident? How can we “fail better” without wasting valuable resources?

Matt Finch has pitted teens versus zombies in physical conflict on the streets of rural Australia, led a citywide burlesque festival as marriage equality passed into New Zealand law, and trained occupational therapists using cake and Transformers toys.

Join Matt for a half-day session at the AADL Downtown Library on Tuesday, October 10 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to explore a toolkit of activities and approaches for devising open-ended, participant-led events and activities which will let your community "step into the story" through a combination of make-believe and practical challenges. Learn about approaches to partnership which expand our conception of what is possible when it comes to unleashing the creativity of our communities...and devise an amazing immersive world of your own.

This event is free, but registration is encouraged. Please register here for this exciting event!
